Miss Laurence has invited us
to share a visual bit of our stomping grounds.
You can travel to sixteen countries today.
It's simply amazing, don't you think?
So here is a little peak at my world.
~
Just so you're in the know, many people
from NJ call New Jersey,
~Jersey~
(The photo above & the two below were taken on my walk
early this morning.)
At this time of year, there are lots of pretty little cracked robins eggs laying around. I had never seen them before we moved to the East Coast. Hopefully, this means new babies are chirping away in the neighborhood! Aren't they stunning?
The magnolias are just beginning to blossom,
where in Texas they bloomed two months ago.
My husband and I live two miles from the shore. The photos above were taken at Ocean Grove last Wednesday.

Other than wonderful friends, the pizza at
Pete and Elda's is a number one attraction!! In New Jersey pizza is also referred to as "tomato pie", but usually it's simply called "pie". Pete and Elda's pie is SO THIN, SO LUSCIOUS, SO DELECTABLE..... that every time I eat it, I declare once again... that it is the best!! The thing is, that you don't ever leave full.

I've been trying to emulate the dough for five years now. Guess what? I'm getting pretty close. I love Pete's. It's laid back and a variety of people go there for one thing! The pie! All, my kind of People!
There are Dunkin' Donuts everywhere!!!!
on so many corners you would not believe!
Thankfully, I don't care for these donuts.

The names of the grocery stores are:

I had never heard of any of these stores
before we moved here.

Lastly, it can get really COLD here in New Jersey. The four season come to visit and winter stays for so long, that when I see people wearing shorts, they look like impostors. It just looks wrong. Whereas in Texas, when I see people in heavy coats, I think something looks askew. (Smiling while saying all this)
I will miss New Jersey when we move, ice storms and all!.
I really love this place, especially for the beautiful people I have met!
~
Now, I can't wait to see your neck of the woods!
