The Doctor said "Your arms healing nicely, looks like you won't be needing an operation, just a cast". I look up and smile at my husband. I've been too afraid to look at any of the ex-rays so far, but now that my wrist is healing, I'm a tad bit disappointed that I haven't. A nurse walks in and says:
Nurse: What color cast do you want"?
Me: White of course.
Nurse: I don't do white, white gets too dirty!
Me: Oh no!! What are my choices then?
Nurse: Orange, Navy blue, Red, Fuchsia, Purple, Yellow or Kelly green.
I look wide eyed over at my husband who is reading my mind and he is grinning an ironic smile, because he knows me well.
Husband's thinking: A: These are children's lollipop colors. B: Constance wants white, shes picky, I don't think any of these colors shes going to like for a cast. And he was right.
I picked Kelly Green and the cast felt good, more comfortable than the splint. But, immediately I was scheming on how to remedy this color choice for our library dance the following night. After we got home, my creative mom looked at the green monster and declared: "I know!! You should make a wrist corsage"! (The last time I wore a wrist corsage was in high school).
So, that's exactly what did and it was quite hilarious, might I add!
If so, there is secret hiding behind closed doors, just waiting. A little surprise for you. Are you ready?

(This Paris Opera Theater was just completed for a client)
There is a vitality, a life force, a quickening that is translated
through you into action and because there is only one of you in all
time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and
will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to
determine how good it is nor how valuable it is nor how it compares
with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly
and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or yourwork. You have to
keep open and aware directly to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. No artist is pleased. There is no satisfaction
whatever at any time. There is only a queer, divine dissatisfaction, a
blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others. ~
This letter speaks to me. I have read it over and over for the past twenty five years!
Welcome to Chateau Rochambeau! You've arrived just in the nick of time. If you like Tutu's..... well then, todays your lucky day!
I've turned my "Salon" into a Theater, and you're invited to a private "Summer Ballet" performance!
So, If you will please take your seats, the curtains are opening now!
Making a fabulous grand jeté onto the stage is an anonymous, and mysterious dancer. Magnifique, non?
In the wings stands Minette. She is too shy to take the stage, but she is the sweetest Fairy Ballerina ever!! (I know her through my Mom)
The next dance is Colorful, Exotic and Russian!
Ulla The Magnificent Ballerina is now bringing the crowd to cheers with her exciting Rhino in the Rain composition! Look how she balances an "Arabesque" still holding her double parasol! Such an amazing talent!
Can you believe? Even Isadora Duncan the Mother of Modern Dance is here in Spirit! Aren't we lucky?
Things are really cookin' now!! Edgar Degas Ballerina has just made her entrance from stage left. Lets watch as she turns the perfect "Pirouette"!
For the Grand Finale, Marina Addison's Ballerina will now chassé on stage to perform her special dance in high-heals! Absolutely amazing!
Take a bow girls!!
Now, if you will follow me, we will adjourn into the parlor, where you will have the chance to meet all the fabulous dancers, eat cupcakes with plastic ballerinas and drink champagne (the good stuff). Only the best for my Bloggies!
Thank you for coming today. It has been my pleasure to entertain you at the Chateau! Without Friends, life would be nothing!
